thanks for the input guys, like i said above i have been out with the wife and we got a new vac on sunday the purple one also its the Animal or something slightly different but anyone who has the Yellow version yeah id love to have some pics posted up user added image

i rendered using mental ray
res =HD1080
also finalgather caustics and global ill.
and just play with the settings till i see something i like just trial and error really.
personally i think your render is most important that and lighting.
so mess with them loads,

Sup guys!
heres a test render of the dyson in a scene.
Gave it the matrix look using some nice greens. and reflections.
needs work on the shadows they are kinda grainy.

hmm i looked at all the god dam stuff on GI joe but i still cant get it to work!.
would it really make a difference to my renders?
and how will i know its worked.. lol! user added image

Because you'll get and option box pop-up and then a mass of lights. But i don't think it would help you with this model anyway, as you tend to loose highlights. I know i'm not using it for my entry.

Have you edited line 57 of the script to point to your lights?

If you have has the path of your lights file got any spaces in it (Maya doesn't like them).?
