my dog caracter

Finally I give my self time to start painting the textures of my dog caracter. I need some coments, what do you guy's think on the model, the textures, and what do I have to do to make the textures look better, maybe some tips. I'm using color maps, bump maps, and some transparency maps on the boots. I have said before that I'm not good with the textures, not because I dont know the options but because I'm don't painting them well, but I'm giving it a try....
