Default TEXTURE MAPPING

Im trying to map a leather texture onto my curve dashboard but am getting weird and ill-fitting results. Any tips pls? Initially used a lambert with a leather jpeg in the color option, and then tried the same with as a bump map, but ugly!

any tips welcome
