Bacteria Cell Division

Hi guys,

I'm trying to create an animation of some bacteria cells dividing and then dividing again ... with this process repeating maybe a few times more.

The cells are tube-like, not spherical. Very much like this - https://generalbacteriology.weebly.co...689661.jpg?345

I have watched a couple of tutorials that show how to create a single cell dividing into two, but that's as far the tutorials go.

I have considered using a particle system (I'm far from an expert in particles) would this be a good idea?

Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Chris
