Beer glass scene creation
This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Plug-in problem...

I have a problem with plug-ins.
Whenever I try to load a plugin, I get this error message:

loadPluginCallback "/Users/Shared/Autodesk/maya/2008/plug-ins/ds_ao4maya.mll" "plug-in";
// Error: Plug-in, "/Users/Shared/Autodesk/maya/2008/plug-ins/ds_ao4maya.bundle", was not found on MAYA_PLUG_IN_PATH. //
// Warning: Could not load /Users/Shared/Autodesk/maya/2008/plug-ins/ds_ao4maya.mll as a plug-in //

Anyone know how to fix this?

Thank you in advance.

It looks like the mll file is looking for the .bundle file and it isnt located where the mll file thinks it should be...

Check the plugins read me file for locations

Oh an make sure that the Maya_Plugin_path includes the location where the bundle file currently resides...

Im kind of stunped now...there is no .bundle file...

Instructions...

installation:
//
// -copy "ds_ao4maya.mll" to your "..\Alias\MayaXY.0\bin\plug-ins"-folder
// -copy "render_ambientOcclusion.xpm" to your "..\maya\VERSION\prefs\icons"-folder
// -restart maya
// -load the ds_ao4maya.mll (Window -> Settings/Preferences -> Plug-in Manager)
// -you'll find the Ambient Occlusion Node in your Hypershade (under Surface)
//

Sorry, Im pretty new to maya...
And there is no talk of a .bundle file.

*confused*

The error said:

// Error: Plug-in, "/Users/Shared/Autodesk/maya/2008/plug-ins/ds_ao4maya.bundle", was not found on MAYA_PLUG_IN_PATH. //

I would go to the support forums and ask directly there to see if they can tell. What Plugin is it?

It's a Ambient occlusion renderer.

BTW, are plugins version-specific (as in, are plugins for maya 8/maya 8.5 compatible with maya 2008?)
If they are, I belive that thats the problem.
Thanks for your help so far, R@nsid!

All pugins are version dependant as they have been compiled to run with that version. Only mel files are non version dependant.
