Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

rolling cloud effect

hi guys,
i need to make a rolling cloud effect very similar to the ones in the background in this animation. not the actual tornado.
although come to think of it, i'd be handy to know how to do that as well.

https://www.imaginaryforces.com/media...nstruments.mov

i'm not that good with fluids yet, so i'm looking for a bit more info than 'use fluids.'
any tutorials on how to go about it?

basic clouds, and importing the fluid examples just aren't suitable

even something like https://aliaswavefront.topdownloads.c...flythrough.mpg
would prob be close, and I could tweak it.
Cause i need to have a staionary camera, and a cloud bank rolling in fast like in the texas instruments clip.

thanks guys!

Adam.

fluids will do it. or particles with some nice turbulence and a lowered conserve value should do it. There is a tornado tute in the videos section right here on sm.
