tweety if he had not scrapped it ,I would not have had to texture it ...hehe
To be honest i'm just using this texturing as a hospital job I'm not devoting full time to it .

Just saw the render on the previous page and had to re-attach my jaw. Incredible level of detail you got going on and even though the render was without any textures it still looked stunning.
Look forward to seing this fully textured.

Keep up the great work

leonlabyk and lealar, thanks for the compliment, i am taking my time with texturing this as i feel it's a defining piece for me personally. If you want to look at the original modelling thread for this project you can find it here

https://forum.simplymaya.com/showthre...threadid=25443

I hope to have some more updates soon on how the texturing is going.

hey can you post a few screenshots or something of the UV snapshots or UV layout? i'm curious to see how you have that laid out...

also, about the rust, i think it looked good when there was a lot of it, but at the same time it looked out of place because it didn't continue down along the side and down... it's like...

lotsofrust-lotsofrust-lotsofrust-ooooh just spots of rust.

Neo it's been a while, I will look into the rust thing later as right now i'm just trying to get an overal texture on the thing with continuity in style.
I'll see what I can rustle up UV layout wise as there are quite few seperate layouts in order to keep the textures at a reasonable size and still detailed enough.
