Black Hole Texture Problem

I’m using Maya Software to render out layers in a scene which includes intersecting objects. (The layers need some work in a compositor.) I’ve set up the “Black Hole” texture where needed for the relevant objects. When I render the scene as .psd layers, and open up the resulting file in Photoshop, I’m getting a black border around any objects which use the black hole texture.
Does anyone know the cause – and solution – for this problem?
Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you.
