Creating a fluid field from a data file

Hello,

I have a data file that contains information on the fluid concentration over a domain at all times and I would like to import this information in to Maya. I have done a couple tutorials with creating clouds in Maya and they have been created based on texturing. I would like to say what the concentration is at each point with (time, X, Y, concentration) data and have Maya interpolate between points (both in space and time). Is this possible?
