How to use bones for tank tracks

Hi all,

I am very new to Maya and have done a cursory search for a solution, so please forgive me if this is answered already.

I have been working on a low-poly tank that will imported into a game I'm developing (Unity3D)

My question is, how to I rig joints correctly to make my tank track conform with its parent wheel?

Do I attach from the center of the wheel to a point on the track or something else, or if this is the way to go about it, how exactly do you attach joints from one point to another??

ANy advice would be much appreciated! thanks

Here's a pic of my current setup:
