Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

I'm thinkin that one could tweak the background pic in photoshop and shapen the bricks and the near windows.

I think the shadow might look a little too sharp. Check out the shadows being cast by the trees to see what I mean.

The Maya Mountain is correctuser added image

To get quick shadows out of Maya for this shot, you can import your background image as a background in Maya, place a plane under your model that is lined-up with the ground plane,
add a "use background" shader to the plane, and when you render, you will get shadows on the "ground"user added image

Another idea is to run a shadow render layer pass.
