MR texture problem...

This scene is using IBL, fg are setted and so is GI. I applied texture to the button and it shows black as you can see. I saw someone had the same problem as me and raised the amb light, however it didn't work for me. Does anyone know how to fix this prob? I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

Check your mental ray flags in your models attributes section. Check to see if all your models attributes are derived from maya.

Now I'm not saying this is going to work but it's worth a shot. Here is a shot of the attributes I'm talking about.

Ah, I realize something. I've had this problem b4 and it was those crap under "textures" in hypershade. I deleted them texture placements and now it works. I do not understand of why it would show up in there, maya should have cleaned it out or something?

You could have simply reloaded your textures just as easily. Heh, There should be a sticky on this in the newbie forum.

Anyway, glad to know you have figured it out.user added image

Thanks! user added image
