Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world

Help Creating film on a film reel...

I have a quick question. I am trying to create film that has been wrapped up on a film reel that is transparent and you can see the individual frames in Maya. I want the film to look wrapped rather than a solid polygonal cylinder that looks like film.

Any help would be wonderful!!! Thank you sooo much in advance.

Extrude a single curve.

(would recomend u post jpg/gif so file is not so big, bmp is raw)user added image
