Faces look bad on extrusion

Hello everyone, I'm new to Maya and I ran into a strange problem.
First, look at this picture: https://img149.imageshack.us/img149/1531/85815042.png

Both cylinders have 25 divisions, but the one to the left have been extruded once and the one to the right got an edge loop in the same place.

Thus, making them identical right? But how come the left one looks so bad? user added image
