Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Problem converting 7.0 mbinary to 6.0

Im having problems converting my 7.0 .mb file to 6.0 Before I saved the file on 7.0 I deleted the history and frooze the transformations. The problem lies in the version number saved in the .mb Is there anyway to convert to 6.0 with out access to a computer with ver 7.0?

I wish i saved it as a .obj

can't recall it's name, but there's a program on that will convert the MB to whatever maya version you want. not sure if it's been updated to 7, but you could try anyhow.

Check out my releases for RACER.

us maya ascii instead. then edit the saved maya 7 .ma file, changing the required program from 7 to 6. See the tips & tricks thread for more detailed explanation.
